AT Thru-hike Update 17-06-09

There is a satisfaction that comes with deciding where you are to receive mail drops. The process of going through the Data Book and looking for the most opportune access to the USPS was good fun. I don't think I have to hitch more than 5 miles at any given time with the arrangement of drops at this point. I have mostly planned my mileage around pickup points. Conveniently, there seems to be a shelter or campsite prior to entering a town or approaching a hostel. For me, this is most opportune as I am trying to aggressively limit my time in towns and in places where I could spend money. Preservation of funds has been a goal from the onset of my attempt to thru-hike. Penny pinching.
